Manager

Assume the role of a manager and see how you can build, supervise and manage things across the MightyLMS site as Nguyen Quang Ly, School principal.

Below, we have listed a few examples you can try straight away. Steps:

1.  Login as ‘quanly1’, password ‘Moodle@2024!’ 

2. Return to this screen (automatic!), logged in as Nguyen Quang Ly.

3. With the school principal's account, you will be able to perform these following actions:

  • Set sensible default activity completion conditions for courses
  • Add custom fields to new cohorts 
  • Explore new custom report sources and filters
  • Create, share and schedule custom reports  
  • Drag and drop calendar events, including category events 
  • Manage tags and tag areas for database entries 
  • Manage tags and tag areas for glossary entries, forum posts and book chapters 
  • Create, edit and import user tours 
  • Import Competency frameworks 
  • Set up and edit Competency frameworks 
  • Set up learning plan templates and assign to users 
  • View learning plans and evidence of prior learning 
  • Review competencies (see the learning plans block) 
  • Reset the and default Profile pages
  • easily Add, edit, manage and promote tags
  • Check your browser sessions also available for teachers and students.
  • Manage badges and Award badges to students and staff  
  • Edit the front page settings;
  • Post the latest news updates;
  • Set up grading scales that teachers sitewide can use;
  • Customise individual words and phrases throughout the site;
  • Access, create, edit or delete any courses and categories;.
  • Browse a list of all site users
  • Add a new user;
  • Perform actions on users in  bulk;
  • Create sitewide cohorts;
  • View all cohorts in all categories
  • upload cohorts with a .csv file
  • Access  logs of all activity reports on the site;
  • Enable or disable Event monitoring
  • Check the permission of individual users;
  • Edit the default roles;

Please note: Each site must also have an Administrator role. Administrator role has ALL possible capabilities on the site (slightly more than the Manager) and often involves technical set up of the site, configuration, maintenance and working closely together with Manager(s) to avoid clashing sitewide settings.
